MacBook Pro screen is frozen and unable to log in

how can I log into my macbook pro after i changed my apple id password. The screen is frozen and will not allow me to log in. How do I delete items from my ipad without deleting from the cloud? THANKS

To clarify are you facing an issue with your Mac or your iPad?


If you're unable to login to your Mac due to it not responding, try holding the power or Touch ID button if your model has it, for up to 10 seconds until your Mac turns off. After that, try signing in again.


As to your iPad, are you trying to delete photos or something along those lines? In general, if iCloud is turned on for a specific service such as photos or notes or something in iCloud Drive, that data is synced to all of your devices. Deleting it from one device deletes it from the others.


If we've misunderstood what you're trying to do, let us know additional details and we'll continue from there.
