Thank you for the information

HP's support page for the HP Photosmart C4280 All-in-One Printer shows drivers for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (and an update up to OS X 10.9 Mavericks) only.

Everything else will be experimental.

It may be a good idea to reset the printing system before a test. See the following article for details.

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)

You could perhaps check whether the HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update package download from Apple can be used (despite its system requirements limitation). It may or may not open/install/work. Look for something like the HP Photosmart C4200 series version 5.0.5 driver listed in the article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support.

As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out.

What Message I Get:

"There are no results for the OS Version you selected."

So, your Mac's hardware it too sophisticated for this scanner.

Run this Through a Virtual Machine:

You can run 32-bit software on a Virtual Machine. So, it might just work fine on aVirtual Machine. You might need to get an older version of the software, for High Sierra compatibility. If there ends up being not solution for your macOS, consider using a Virtual Machine(VM) for Zoom. All would be accessed and would operate as desired on the VM. Virtual Machine applications include VMWare Fusion and ParallelsLearn more here: What Is a Virtual Machine? - VMWare Support.

Try this.

Use a USB cable to connect the scanner to your MBA.

You may have to buy a USB-C to USB-A cable.

Power on the scanner. Open Printers and Scanners in System Preferences.

Click on the + icon to add a new device.

The Mac should be able to see the scanner.

Than select a driver from the dropdown list.

If you don't see your scanner come up, you may be out of luck.

Search Google to see if someone in open-source has created a driver for it and download it.

I just did that and here is what I found.

The latest driver is version 13.9.2a and works on MacOS 10.10.

There are no drivers for MacOS 10.11 or higher.

Here is a link for what driver are available for Monterey:
