Airpods Pro battery percent

Hello, I have recently noticed that my AirPods Pro have a 15% battery difference between them. I usually use them to go to the gym and after a few hours just before storing them they have a difference of 15% between them. Is this normal? Both have 100% when taking them out of the box, curiously the first one I take out of the box is the one that ends with the least battery, if I take out the R first it ends with 15% less battery, I invest the order and take out the L first then the same thing happens with this one, it ends with 15% less battery, so I rule out that one What would be the explanation for this? I bought them in March 28, 2021, they haven't been used for a year yet. I think 15% is a big difference. The other question is the low battery sounds, I think it sounds once with 10% and then just before they turn off they sound again when they have approximately 5%, is this correct?

Hey there Raudt,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. Based on the information you've provided, it is possible that this is expected behavior. When using your AirPods, one of the AirPods will be used as the microphone which may result in that AirPod having less charge when you're done using them.

An easy way to test this would be to set the microphone to use just your left or right AirPod, instead of set automatically. After setting the AirPod to use either the right or left, continue to use your AirPods as normal, and see if the AirPod that is set to using the microphone has less battery when you're done using them. To do this, check out this link here under the "Set Microphone to left, right, or automatic" section: Change the settings of your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

As for the tones you're hearing when the battery gets low, this would be expected as well. You can find this information in the following resource under the "Learn about battery life" section: Charge your AirPods and learn about battery life - Apple Support (BW)

You also hear a tone in one or both AirPods when the battery charge is low. You hear the tone one time when the battery charge is at 10 percent, and a second time right before the AirPods turn off.

Let us know if that's able to help.

Have a great day!

Hello, I am sorry to have taken so long to respond, I have been quite busy these days but I have done tests about it, the description I wrote in the first message is not correct. I have done tests changing the microphone preference as you suggest, obviously the AirPods that is set as a microphone will consume more battery than the other and in my experience, the first one that is removed from the box is set as a microphone. When the L is first removed from the box, it consumes up to 15% more than the R when the battery reaches 10% and the low battery alert is reproduced. When the R is first extracted from the box, both % remain quite even, 1-3% difference between one and the other. Which leads me to ask myself the following question. Could it be that Apple kept this in mind and put a slightly larger battery in the R headset to compensate for the consumption of the use of a microphone?
