How do I transfer an Apple card from one iPhone's wallet to another's?

I recently acquired an iPhone 8 a while back. I had an iPhone 6 SE, in which I had registered my Apple card, in my wallet. In the process of setting up the iPhone 8, I attempted to add the Apple card to it's wallet, but could not. I removed the card from the wallet, but was not able to add it to the new phone. May someone advice as to how I may do this?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities!

There are few steps you can try to add your Apple Card to your new iPhone.

Be sure you are signed into the same Apple ID that was on your old device when you applied for your card.
Confirm that your iPhone is running the latest iOS: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Open the Wallet app
Tap the add button
Tap Add Card, then follow the steps to select Apple Card
