Messenger suddenly losing access to Photos library TODAY 12/3/22.

iPhone 11 Pro Max, 15.6.1 Messenger has always had full access to my Photos library. This morning, it does not, and when I touch the picture icon, I get a prompt to 'access your photos and videos' and to please go to settings. When I go to settings, Photos is not on the list of things to allow Messenger to access. It only shows Siri & Search; Notifications; Background App Refresh; and Cellular Data. ???

Also, Messenger for my Mac seems to have lost the icon for sharing pictures, also as of this morning.

What the heck is going on? I have friends I only communicate via Messenger, and I need to be able to share pictures!
