Activate Verizon Apple One

My family Apple One subscription expires Dec 6, and I saw an offer from Verizon to switch to their mobile plan that includes Apple One, so I signed up. I set my current Apple One subscription to not auto-renew.

I have texts from Verizon with a link to activate my new Apple One. When I click the link, I go to an Apple One page that says I have to update my iPhone first, then use the link again. My iPhone has iOS 16.1.2, there is no further update available.

How do I get this activated?

Try copying the link and pasting into safari instead of chrome if that’s your default browser
