Case Compalibilty

Until all cases for the 4th and 5th gen iPad Air change? Then no.

Case makers that make cases for the 4th and 5th gen iPad Air need to make/modify their case designs to be a little thicker to accomodate the slight thickness in height of the 10th gen iPad, due to the non-laminated protective screen glass sticking up slightly above the iPad's aluminium case edges.

Also, 4th and 5th gen iPad Air cases need to be modified to allow for the 10th gen external keyboard magnetic connection/attachment ( smart connector ) location being along the long side of this new iPad model.

Until, then you can check Amazon for cases that state compatibility with the new 2022, 10.9 inch 10th gen iPad.

Cases for the new base model, 2022, 10.9 inch, 10th gen iPad need a cutout area for the external keyboard smart connector that is located along the long side of the iPad.

Similar location to where the external keyboard smart connector is located on earlier base model iPad versions.

The dimensions of the iPad10 are unique to this model of iPad. As such, close-fitting cases designed for other models of iPad are not compatible with the iPad10.

Another way to check compatibility is to search for the tech specs for various models…write down the millimeter measurements for the models in question and when you find ones that are the same you’ll know what models of case to look for.

Sometimes Apple uses the same chassis for a few models so you can luck out. If nothing else it can give you a few different model cases to look for.

Then I’ve found the best place to shop is Amazon. Even if you do not purchase from there it gives you some brands to search for.
