IPhone 13 and iTunes

I have been reading all the different responses regarding iTunes not syncing phone. I was trying to put some of my iTunes library on to a USB flash drive for a 26 (one way) hour road trip for a friend. I plugged my phone into my laptop with Microsoft 10. Some were purchased, some cds that were downloaded, and the rest were downloaded with subscription.

  1. It did a software update on my phone
  2. Installed iTunes update on computer AND THEN it reversed ALL my phone’s data and backed it up to 2012. WTF? Lost all contacts, emails, and texts.
  3. Tried to back up to “most recent update” and it says it was last done in 2012. That was the year I guy my first iPhone.
  4. Gave up on that. adres 4 hours. I changed the format from AAC to WMA, Mpu3, MP4, and lastly saved folders to windows media player/My Music.
  5. Gave permission for all attributes
  6. DATA CANNOT BE READ is what my answer was ever time on 3 computers and 3 NEW flash drives.
  7. Oh, my apps have been downloading for 8 days even after deleting about half the that I don’t use. Tried prioritizing download without success

PLEASE HELP!

Thank you!

Hello NancyGalligo,

We're happy to lend a hand and see if we can help get your iPhone back to where it was prior to syncing. Since it had been a while for backing up on your computer, do you have an iCloud backup that you can restore from that's more recent?

See the information below, it was found in Restore all content to iPhone from backup.

Restore iPhone from an iCloud backup
1: Turn on a new or newly erased iPhone.

2: Do one of the following:
• Tap Set Up Manually, tap Restore from iCloud Backup, then follow the onscreen instructions.
• If you have another iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11, iPadOS 13, or later, you can use Quick Start to automatically set up your new device. Bring the two devices close together, then follow the onscreen instructions to securely copy many of your settings, preferences, and iCloud Keychain. You can then restore the rest of your data and content to your new device from your iCloud backup.

Or, if both devices have iOS 12.4, iPadOS 13, or later, you can transfer all your data wirelessly from your previous device to your new one. Keep your devices near each other and plugged into power until the migration process is complete.

Let us know if you are still needing help.

Take care!
