Music Library is gone
Earlier this year I noticed my music library on my iPhone was gone. When I clicked on Playlists, for example, instead of seeing the many I’ve created over the years using both purchased songs and songs I’ve uploaded to iTunes, it says “Looking for your playlists? Playlists you create will appear here.”
I enjoyed a 6 month free trial of Apple Music, but decided not to continue after the trial was over. It was sometime after the trial ended that I noticed my library was gone.
For years I never had a problem with my library, but now I do, and the only difference is that I briefly subscribed via a free trial to Apple Music, and no longer do.
I finally located my music listed under a different library name and only accessible through home sharing, but this is such a pain to click into. My library has always just been my default library when I open the music app, and now it’s been moved.
Is there a way to move it back? When I go into settings>music there is no option under library to sync with cloud. Everything is set up correctly on my iMac for home sharing, and all my devices are signed in using the same apple id.
I just want to be able to open my music app and have all my music right there like it always was.
Any advice would be appreciated.
