If I erase my iPad from ‘find my phone’ will all data on the iPad be erased - I.e. back to factory settings?

I erased my old iPad from ‘find my phone’ app on my iPhone (after transferring data to new iPad). Has all my data been erased from the old iPads - it looks as though it as but I didn’t go through the ‘erase’ data or restore to factory settings.

Greetings janefromwales,

That's a fantastic question! Yes, erasing your iPad via Find My does erase all content and settings from that device when it's online. For example, if the iPad is powered off or not connected to the Wi-Fi when you erase it via Find My, the next time it's on and connected to Wi-Fi, the iPad will erase. The article linked below outlines this information in further detail.
