Scratch on the MacBook logo

I have a MacBook about 2021. There was a scratch on the logo on the cover of the MacBook. Can it be polished? Can there be any problems when polishing? What material is this logo made of? Is it covered with something on top?

MacBook Pro Scratched after genius bar repair. My MacBook pro went in for a genius bar repair. Upon receiving the device I have noticed numerous scratches on the outside of the device.
