How do I change my band with to 2.4 on my iPhone

The description sums it up
Your Wi-Fi router will need to be configured to use separate wireless network names for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Then, choose the name of the 2.4 GHz network from the iPhone to connect.
Not sure why you want to connect to the 2.4 GHz signal though, since 5 GHz signals are much faster than 2.4 GHz signals and there is also almost always less interference using 5 GHz than 2.4 GHz.

The description really doesn't sum it up. It appears that you have Wi-Fi bandwidth (volume of information) confused with Wi-Fi Frequency band.
If you are asking how to connect to a 2.4 Ghz band over a Wi-Fi network, then the answer is that you will have to know which Wi-Fi network is 2.4 Ghz and which one is 5 Ghz (for example). You can then manually connect your iPhone to that 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi network. Once you have identified and manually connected to the Wi-Fi network of your choice then you can change its setting to connect Automatically (for next time).
NOTE: There is no setting on your iPhone to set a Wi-Fi preference for only 2.4 Ghz connections.

2.4 has longer range, that’s its only advantage
