Black Friday purchase 'gift'

I bought a new laptop on cyber Monday and so qualified for the offer of the £250 Apple gift card. However when the amount was billed, I was billed twice - a reduced amount for the laptop ( laptop cost -£250) and for a £250 Apple gift card. Although I'm receiving the laptop for the cost I was expecting I'm not really happy about this - surely I need a receipt which shows the full amount I spent on my laptop for tax and insurance purposes, not a receipt that shows a reduced amount and a £250 gift card? I did not 'buy' the gift card, I bought the laptop and the gift card was supposed to be a promotional gift from apple. Am I being ridiculous? Obviously hopefully I'll never have to claim on my insurance for the laptop anyway, but if I did I wouldn't be able to claim for the same spec laptop as I would only have a receipt for something costing £250 less... or would insurers have to match the spec? Any help greatly appreciated, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask as it isn't a tech question!
