IBM SPSS 28/29 on Ventura

Hi,

I can't install IBM SPSS 28 or 29 on macOS 13 Ventura...does anyone have the same problem?

Is it related to CPU type ?

I finally managed to install SPSS 29.

The installer fail if i lauch it from Desktop.

If you run it from Applications, it work.

/Applications % sudo installer -verboseR -pkg SPSSSC_29.0.0.0_Mac.pkg -target /

I don't understand why...

The one you have to contact is SPSS. Ventura has been available for six months now.

The IBM support site for What are the supported Apple Macintosh Operating System Versions for IBM SPSS Statistics? doesn't even mention Monterey, let alone Ventura. That's a Very Bad Sign.

Indeed!

Look's like a security issue with the installer.

If you copy the folder Applications/IBM SPSS Statistics from a Monterey to a Ventura, the app work well.
