BCC email doesn't show up in Sent Mail

I've noticed recently that if I send an email to a group using BCC for all addresses, that message does not show up in Apple Mail in the Sent mailbox. I tried closing Mail and re-opening it to see if it would re-sync correctly, but the message still wasn't there.


I logged in at iCloud.com and went to Mail. The message appeared there in the Sent mailbox with (No Recipients) listed as To:.


I'm using macOS 12.6.1 and wonder if this is a bug?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.6

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. We see BCC emails sent arent showing up in your sent mailbox.


Have you tried checking other sent mailboxes on your Mail app? Also, we would need to isolate this a bit further.


  1. Test in safe mode to see if this continues - How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
  2. Test in a test user to see if this issue is system wide - Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support
