iCloud + Permissions, Photos and Notes

I have recently begun sharing my Apple iCloud+ Storage with Family Members. I would like to limit the locations or folders shared with a specific family member. So another family member should not be able to see all of mine and my wife's shared photos at the root, but maybe get a separate folder named for them. The same question applies (or is being asked) about Notes. I'd like to limit the sharing of my notes to specific folders, or levels, and not be sharing all notes with the family member if possible.

Hi timh30,

If you want to stop sharing an album in Photos, see How to share albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad and Mac:

"Remove a subscriber

  1. Open the shared album.
  2. Go to the People tab.
  3. Select the subscriber you want to remove.
  4. Tap Remove Subscriber at the bottom of the screen.

As the creator of a shared album, you control who can access it. You can remove subscribers or delete the album at any time."

To manage shared settings in Notes see Share notes and collaborate on iPhone - Apple Support

"Change sharing settings

  • Manage a shared note: Tap [icon], then tap Manage Shared Note.
  • Manage a shared folder: Tap [three dots], then tap Manage Shared Folder.
  • Remove people: Tap the collaborator you want to remove, then tap Remove Access.
  • Change access and permission settings: To change the settings for all collaborators, tap Share Options. To change the settings for an individual collaborator, tap their name.
  • Stop sharing: When you choose this option, the shared note or folder is deleted from the devices of the other participants."

Take care.
