Apple Watch Series 8 fast charge issue

Hi I've noticed my AW Series 8 will fast charge up to 90%. For example, from 40 to 95% it will charge very quickly with the Apple 20W adapter but the last 5-7% is much slower. Almost the same time as it takes from 40% to 95%. Does anyone else have this issue? is it because of optimized charging?

apple watch ultra charging extremely slow I have recently purchased an Apple Watch Ultra (1.st gen). I seem to have an issue that the charging is extremely slow. On the first day it took 4 hours to charge from 32% to 100%. This is way slower than the series 7 I have been using before. Apple advertises that it can go from 0 to 80% in an hour… I’m not even close to that. The software is up to date. I have turned off the charge limiting. I am using the original apple fast charger that came with the watch, and the 20W brick and there is nothing wrong with those. I have tried with a different charger, same issue. Does anyone have any good ideas? thanks

Apple Watch 9 only charging to 80% I have a two week old Apple Watch series 9. Went on vacation and I’m using a charger with a USB connection and a small cube charger, 5 watt., not the USB-C charger that came with the watch. My watch will not charge beyond 80% and I’ve turned off battery optimization. It just stops at 80% even after being plugged in for 10 hours and 3 different cycles. It also gets pretty warm. I’ve tried 2 different 5 watt cube chargers and same issue. Is this caused by the fact that I’m not using the 20watt charger that came with it?

Apple Watch Ultra - Fast Charge not Happening Hi there, I became suspicious that my Apple Watch Ultra was charging slowly so I have measured it over the last charges and it falls well short of fast charging speed. Using the fast charging puck and a 20W (A2344) charger it took 1h 11m to charge from 18% to 56% and 2.25 hours to charge from 18% to 94%. This is similar when using other charger bricks of 20W+. I've seen other's having this problem on other forums - anyone here having similar issues? Is this likely to be a software issue fixed in future WatchOS releases?

That is expected charging behavior in my experience. About fast charge on Apple Watch provides further information. Although I could not find the Optimized Charging data on the Watch, About Optimized Battery Charging on your iPhone describes how it works on the iPhone.
