Set FaceTime ringtone different to standard call ringtones
Setting your FaceTime type call to use a different ringtone to your normal received calls..
Answer is “You can’t” not yet anyway as of iOS 16.2.1
People ask the question poorly.
Can I change the FaceTime ringtone.
Well “Yes you can”. But it changes the normal call ringtone at the same time.
What people are generally asking (just very badly) is, “Can I change the FaceTime ringtone so it is different to the normal incoming ringtone. Change one without changing the other.
“No You Can’t”
You can make each individual contact have their own ringtone but that’s not what people are asking for.
Very simply, Can you have incoming calls via FaceTime sound different from normal incoming phone calls without giving the individual person calling you their own unique ringtone ??
Answer is NO, you can’t, so tough luck guys.
If enough people ask the question the RIGHT way enough times, then and only then will Apple get the message, and potentially make the requests an actual change.
Until then guys, tough luck. You’ve got what Apple thinks you want.
Specificity is important.
And by the way. Yes I want that difference in ring tones between FaceTime and STD calls too. Sooo,,, how about it Apple??? Can you do that little thing for us. Would be nice.
