You have to enter the angle in radians, not in degrees. Does "28" refer to the angle in degrees or radians?

If it is an angle in degrees, multiply the argument by pi/180.0

For example:

  • The query tan(180*pi/180.0) will correctly result in 0
  • or tan(45*pi/180.0) will give 1, as it should be

The same goes for sin and cos.
