Autoplay is disabled but it automatically turns on after my playlist is over. how do I stop it?

I recently tried out the infinite auto play feature and didn’t like it so I disabled it. I returned to my playlist but when it finished auto play automatically turned on. It’s getting annoying. I’ve DISABLED it and it automatically turns on after my playlist is done. How do I permanently disable it.

Hello 12Ar123,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to help resolve the software issue so your settings stay as selected.

If the setting it changing on its own, try a normal restart of the device first to help correct an issue.

Please also check for any pending iOS updates, which can help make sure the software is working as expected. This Apple Support page can help get those updates installed: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

"Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

  1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
  5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

We hope this helps to resolve the issue causing the setting to change so it stays disabled for you.

Cheers!
