I would like to do clean install of OS 9.2

I have CD for OS 8.5 for powerbook G3

what do you recommend?

A Mac OS 8.5 system CD (if working with your PowerBook model) would allow a subsequent (free) update to Mac OS 8.6.

Mac OS 8.6 Update: Document and Software

Mac OS 9.x. was not free. An appropriate retail version would be needed.
