I found someone's AirPod and case. How do I contact them to return them?

I found the case near an ATM, too close to it to be just a passerby. I looked in the case and saw one AirPod and since it was after bank hours, figured I'd take it to the bank tomorrow to go in their lost&found. But then I got a ping from my phone telling me the owner of the AirPod and case could see my location. I am trying to find out how to contact the owner to arrange for them to pick up the AirPod and case.

Hi Scoey,

What a nice thing to do, wanting to make sure the AirPods with case are returned to the owner. There is no way to trace back to the owner, but it's good to hear Find My is enabled. That will help the owner locate the AirPods.

Taking it to the banks Lost/Found is a great idea since that's where they were found. Or you can take them to your local authorities and turn them in.
