AirPods disappeared from Find My Devices list

Why did my AirPods disappear from the Find My Devices list.

They were in the case at the time I lost them. When I first looked on Find My I saw them with a "last seen" location and date. Two days later they disappeared completely.

What does this mean? Did someone reset them?

Hey there karyn138,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. If you do not see your AirPods location in Find My, that indicates they are currently offline. Find My will show the device's last known location for up to 24 hours after the device goes offline. You mentioned seeing their last known location several days ago. Since it has been more than 24 hours, it is expected that they would no longer show their last known location. In order for their location to update, they would need to go online again.
