2-step authentication

How do I turn off two step authentication? My phone continues to ask for this second step authentication password, which is my email takes me to settings says it has an issue or a problem with with it entering my password asked me to re-enter that then will not allow me to do so, and continues to ask for my password

If you are already using two-factor authentication, you can no longer turn it off. Certain features in the latest versions of iOS and macOS require this extra level of security, which is designed to protect your information.
