Powerbeats Pro not holding a charge

Okay, here's a weird one. My left Powerbeats Pro suddenly started dying on me after about 30 minutes of active usage. It goes from pretty much a full charge to dead. When I plug it into the case, it instantly (within 2-3 seconds) goes to >50% charge and then goes to full charge within 2 minutes. It's been doing this very consistently for a couple of weeks now and started around the time I updated to iOS 16. The latest Powerbeats Pro firmware also came out around the same time. Is this happening to anyone else? Support just directed me to the store for a repair - I'm not convinced this is a hardware issue. A full reset didn't remedy the issue.
