So my Apple Watch keeps locking me out even when it’s on my wrist

Hello Beckypech,


It sounds as though you may have Wrist Detection turned off. When this setting is disabled, it would require a passcode to unlock your Apple Watch, even when on your wrist. You can adjust this setting by following the steps listed below. You'll also find these steps, along with additional information related to the passcode in the following article.


  1. "Open the Settings app  on your Apple Watch.
  2. Tap Passcode, then turn Wrist Detection on or off."
