I have multiple apple tv boxes but the one I am having an issue with is Serial#CO****G2X. I thought is was 1st Gen 4k but it may just be a HD box. I am getting the warning symbol with APPLETV/Restore when I turn the unit on. I unplugged it overnight and brought it to work with me today and I am still getting the same error. What next?

If you can’t access the menus, and if you see a warning symbol, that indicates a failure to start up properly. First try a cold restart (disconnect from power for a minute or two). If that doesn’t improve it, then the system software may need to be re-installed externally. Unfortunately, for the 4K model, users can’t do this themselves. Instead, contact Apple Support for assistance.

That is not a 4K model. Do you have multiple Apple TV boxes?

Apple TV HD can be restored externally by the user using a USB cable and a computer. See link above.
