As you can see in enclosed photos ( 2nd generation is smaller and 3rd generation bottom), there is a bit difference between the two. I was told my the rep I spoke to a few days ago that they were same size and that my cases would fit the 3rd generation, so I was a bit annoyed at seeing the difference. So now I have to recycle my old cases and get new—jeez!

The smaller iPhone in your picture is a first generation iPhone SE, not second generation.
The Second generation iPhone SE is in fact identical to the third generation iPhone SE.

Well, there is no difference in size between an SE 2nd edition and SE 3rd edition, so the rep you spoke to was correct.

Hate to tell you this but the smaller device in the photo is NOT a 2nd generation SE. it is a 1st generation iPhone SE.
