Automatically changing contact photo

Hello, I have an issue that may be with family sharing. My mothers boyfriends contact keeps changing. When I change the profile picture it changes for my mom. Same thing happens to me when she changes it. We want different profile pictures for him but it automatically changes. We are in a family sharing of 3 people. Anyway to fix?
