Why is it asking me to log in to certain apps for updates?
I reset my device and it registers me as currently logged in but asks me to sign in to update apps downloaded by previous account

If the apps were originally purchased with another Apple ID, then you cannot update them with your new Apple ID. Purchases cannot be transferred to a new Apple ID. Delete the apps, and repurchase them with your new Apple ID: Download apps and games on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.
