After upgrading to Ventura, when I enter or paste text into the Location field for a new or existing Calendar entry, the app crashes every time. The calendar on which the entry is added or updated is via CalDav using Synology Calendar. A crash does not occur under identical steps when using a different calendar such Home on my Mac.
iMac 27″, macOS 13.0
First thing to try is "Restart" Calendar while continuously depressing the "shift" key.
Next, if that doesn't help restart your computer using Safe Mode, and test again.
I updated today to Ventura 13.1 and I have the same issue.
I'm also using iCal with a Synology Calendar.
My calendar have the same issue. While typing in the location field, the app crashes.
I tried in safe mode but same issue.

Same issue here, looks like it always crashes after entering the 3rd character in the location field.

Just to add that the problem is unchanged after upgrading from Ventura 13.0.1 to 13.1. Apple, please find and fix this irritating bug, and thank you!
Happens to me too since the Update to Ventura. But only for my Caldav calenders, not for iCloud and Outlook.
The Caldav backend is Davical.
Syncing location from the backend is fine, the Apple calendar only crashes, if I enter a new location in the frontend.
Crashes with CalDAV calendars when entering location are happily persisting with macOS 13.2. Apple does not seem to care. Crash log, sys log, video, steps on how to reproduce all provided to Apple Development. 🙄
I have the same issue, backend is Davical using CALDAV. Please fix this issue. I am on macOS 13.2

Using Ical and Synology calendar.
BTW there is no issue with Ios on the Iphone
Other identified issue : impossible to send mail when adding invitees for an event.
The same problem. Also with Ventura 13.2. Apple Calendar is paired with CalDav on Synology.
The third-party app Fantastical works fine.
I have a Workaround as long as Apple will hopefully fix this issue.
Et voilà: Calendar Entry has a location and is being stored on the Synology NAS.
That did not help. I even reinstalled my Mac this weekend and still the problem persists.

Same issue: Apple Calendar crashes when entering location using Synology Calendar as account. Happened since upgrading to Ventura and still with latest 13.2.1.
Same for me. It's been happening for weeks. Frankly all of the Mac apps like Calendar and Contacts suck. They're never updated. And they're obviously low priority for ongoing maintenance. Maybe one day Apple will step up to the plate to improve the quality of basics apps that run on their expensive hardware.
