Calendar macOS Ventura crashes on entering location field contents

That moves folder contents to a new subfolder so it's retained, but Calendar will no longer use it. If everything works, you can delete the subfolders.

It's also "funny" that the crash only occurs when the internet connection is up...

I always used Windows at work and convinced myself 15 years ago to try Mac at home. I wish I never did. I've always felt like I was giving too much up on the software side. And then you stay with Apple simply because you adapt to it. Now we see this kind of crap where Apple doesn't care about software support. But should we be surprised? Take a look at the latest Microsoft Outlook versus the related Apple apps that haven't been updated in over a decade? Geez, I might try parallels and play around with Windows to see why I'm still using Apple.

After 3 days, the problem returned on my Macbook when entering an event location. I've since tried using a demo of BusyCal which looks like a good calendar app. It does not crash when entering locations and successfully syncs back to Synology calendar, however it does randomly crash while running in the background. Console shows that it crashed without presenting a dialog 4x today. It seems as though Apple has broken iCal sync which is impacting all calendar apps.

Which version of Synology DSM is everyone using. I'm on 6.2.4 Update 7 and am wondering if an update to 7.2 would offer any relief.

Here we run DSM 7.2 (CalDAV with Synology Calendar) with the same issue. In my opinion no issue of Synology Calendar, because also events in local calendars are affected.

The miracle finally happened: macOS Ventura 13.4.1 has apparently fixed the calendar location bug. I'm about to cry...

I'm still crying, because the bug isn't gone after update to 13.4.1 (on all machines here)...

****. Fixed here. I'm using Macbook Air and Synology DSM 7.1.1 (with Synology Calendar) What are you using?

We are using DSM 7.2 and Macbooks with Apple Silicon and macmini with Intel cpu... still crashes on all machines. I think, it doesn't matter which Macbook model or Intel/Apple Silicon one is using.

It will be random if it works or not... as Apple always does with problems like this!
