best OS for Macbook Pro Mid 2015

I run Mojave on my Macbook Pro Mid 2015, and am reluctant to upgrade it forward. If needed, due to lack of Apple's support of Mojave, what will be the best other OS I have to upgrade it? Apparently, it can upgrade up to Monterrey. Is that wise? I have 16 GB of RAM and 500 GB of SSD.

macOS 12 Monterey is the most current macOS version a Mid 2015 MacBook Pro can update to.

It should be fine ti update to that, but you will need to make sure your Apps are all 64 bit compliant. Mojave was the last OS to support 32 bit apps and as such they will not work in anything newer than that.
