Broken Display Icon in System Settings

I have three external monitors setup for my Macbook Pro 15" 2018.

  • LG Ultrawide 23"
  • ViewSonic 27"
  • Samsung 32"

Under Displays section in System Settings the icon for the last monitor is broken. Can this be fixed?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.0

I've not encountered this so I'm just offering some basic suggestions.

  • Try a different cable
  • Shut down, and swap the cable to a different port, restart and if the icon reappears for that monitor it suggests the port is the problem.
  • Restart in safe mode followed by a normal restart
