Shortcuts "Copy to Clipboard" doesn't work for images.

The following works great until the last step, but I am still left pasting a PNG.

Can anyone help?

Suddenly I don't get a thumbnail when I take a screenshot, how do I get this feature back. I use Command Shift 4 to take a small screenshot, then a thumbnail appears in the lower right corner of the screen and I can right click that for a menu or drag it to another window. Suddenly this feature is gone and it opens a window and wants me to save the image as a file. I don't want to save it as a file, how to I get the thumbnail feature back?

Screenshots / shit command 4 When taking snapshots of portions of the screen the key stroke short cut would previously just save the "screenshot" to my desktop. As of yesterday it stopped doing this. I now get an untitled item that wants me to decide if i want to save it. I am not impressed at all. If i didn't want to save it I wouldn't have contorted 3 fingers on the keyboard, dragged my mouse over the area & selected said "image'. Is anyone else feeling my pain?

Quick image editing without having to save the image to a file first? Is there a way to just drop an image (e.g., a screenshot) that's been copied to the Clipboard into Preview (or another image editing Mac app) for quick editing -- e.g., just to blur some text and/or image -- without first saving the image to a file?

Looks like "Copy to clipboard" will actually convert images to PNG if you input a JPG ☹️.
