Magic mouse and rechargeable batteries...

Hello everyone, I don't understand one thing: I had bought rechargeable batteries (Duracell) but without a charger (the same as the Duracell cost 25 euros!). So I bought an Amazon Basics one: I charge the batteries, insert them in the mouse and no sign of life. I try again, but nothing. So I think maybe the charger and the batteries are not compatible (very strange). However I order a Duracell battery charger on Amazon (not the one mentioned above, another cheaper one) with 2 batteries included: I put them in charge for safety and once the charge is finished I insert them in the mouse: no sign of life. At this point I'm wondering: was I unlucky with 2 batches of batteries or does the magic mouse refuse to use them? It seems very strange to me that 2 out of 2 pairs do not work. Thank you, have a nice weekend.
