If you're experiencing a line on your display that is not affected by steps you're taking such as a restart then it is likely a hardware related issue. A great way to test is to take a screenshot of the area and view it at a different size on the same device or on another device.

If the issue appears in the screenshot it is related to software. If it does not then it is hardware related and will require service. You can review service options in your region here: Apple Support
