External mic and camera for iPad Pro 12.9 inch

I would like to make videos with my iPad pro using a large diaphragm mic with a mic preamp plus an external camera. I don't currently have a camera for this. I saw a youtube video where the presenter ran his mic/mic pre directly into the camera, and then connected the camera to his iPad pro with a USB-C cable.

Can anyone give me some pointers on rigging this up? And I don't want to spend a fortune on the camera. My mail concern is importing quality sound.

iPad Pro not utilizing external camera plugged in with adapter? I have an external camera that I want to use to get around the centre stage movement on remote meetings. IT is a plug and play one, no software needed. My iPad Pro is up to date with IOS 17.0.3 version. When I plug it in, the Teams platform I use accepts the audio for the external camera but not the video - this remains firmly with the iPad and the same centre stage problem. How to connect external USB camera to iPad? I am learning to play piano and want to connect an external USB camera to do overhead view of my piano when I'm playing. I can't find any solution. Weird I can connect an external microphone, but not a camera. Can this be done?
