Can't seem to get our new Brother MFC-L2750DW printer to work from our Air Mac. I've downloaded the drivers but it won't connect wirelessly. Didn't have this problem with our iMac.

Why won't my Air Book (iOS 12.2.1) work wirelessly with our new printer? I've downloaded the drivers. Tried everything. WLAN won't connect.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

Hi,

A Brother MFC-L2750DW is listed as supported in About AirPrint - Apple Support. An AirPrint-enabled printer is compatible with macOS, and can be used without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

Brother recommends using AirPrint with this printer (and a normal printer driver for macOS 12 is not available for download).

You may have to reset the printing system and re-add the printer to use AirPrint. See the following articles for details:

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. Since the MFC-L2750DW has an Ethernet port (in addition to Wi-Fi), you could choose to wire the printer to one of the LAN ports of the Wi-Fi router instead of using a wireless connection.

Do not use a direct wireless connection (Wi-Fi Direct) between the printer and the Mac. Always connect via a Wi-Fi router (infrastructure mode).

If there is a problem with AirPrint device discovery, you could try the following procedure (in this order, with these waiting times): Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all other connected devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
