"Could Not Add Card" error in MacOS

Weirdly I've never been able to add any cards to my Apple Wallet on my 14" M1 MacBook Pro. My software is up to date, and I'm able to add these same cards to my iPhone just fine.

I would expect my Wallet on my MacBook to mirror that of my iPhone.. is that what it's supposed to do? Anyway, here's the error, I checked articles online but all they say is to check your software or date & time or WiFi or things like that. I confirmed all my settings should be correct, I just don't get why my Wallet isn't working. My cards are in my autofill in Safari, but not able to be added to my wallet.

Hello lavendare,

Since you are seeing the "Could Not Add Card" prompt, you'll want to reach out to your bank or card issuer. The resource you came to us from has more details, for reference: If you can't add a card to Apple Wallet to use with Apple Pay

Should that still persist after consulting with them, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Contact - Official Apple Support They'd be in the best position to look into this further.

Take care.
