WiFi and SIM dropping/stuttering iPhone 12 Pro and IPad Pro 16.1.2

Hey y’all,

Im currently going through the wringer with connectivity on both of my Apple devices. This has been going on for a few weeks now but I am constantly losing Wi-Fi over and over again like it is blinking on and off. My internet on my other devices - PC and Nintendo Switch - have been working just fine. I have an eero setup in my apartment so I am within a few feet of a beacon in any room in my house I normally use these devices. On my phone and iPad every few minutes, the WiFi symbol turns to 5G and flips right back on again. I have reset my network settings and have reconnected to my network on both devices. Further, on my iPad I am intermittently getting flashes of “No Sim Installed” for only a second just like the Wi-Fi flipping off and on. This is disrupting any work or activity I am trying to do on either of my devices. I am constantly missing calls, texts, and even my email ends up delayed due to this problem. I am out of ideas as what I can do at this point and appreciate any suggestions.

I wanted to add that my wifi is just 5ghz so it’s not flipping between bands

Hi there LLou1,

Does this issue occur with your iPhone and iPad when you connect to a different Wi-Fi network? If not, that indicates that there's an issue with your home Wi-Fi network causing the multiple disconnects on your iPhone and iPad. Have you tried restarting your router or moving closer to the actual router rather than a beacon to see if that helps? We ask because this behavior could be related to wireless interference. Work through the suggestions in this support article to see if they resolve the issue for you: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

Also, have you checked your channel width?

Set to Auto or all widths for 5GHz and 6GHz bands
- Auto or all channel widths for 5GHz and 6GHz bands ensures the best performance and compatibility with all devices. Wireless interference is less of a concern in these bands.

Cheers!
