Barometric Altimiter

As a pilot I am interested in the barometric altimeter in the Apple Watch ultra. Can it be adjusted to local altimeter setting? Can an altitude alert be set up in the watch ? Also if the gps altitude could be displayed next to the barometric altitude that would be cool. Any insight would be helpful.

Why doesn't series 6 apple watch altimeter work? Okay, I like the watch's altimeter but unlike the iphone altimeter, the watch altimeter is often wrong. I don't know if the watch uses atmospheric pressure or GPS, but when flying on a plane the altimeter maxs out at about 7500 feet even when the plane is flying at 36,000 feet. The iphone altimeter reads the correct altitude apparently using GPS. The watch may be using atmospheric pressure which is set to about 8000 feet in the pressurized airline cabin. I hope apple converts to GPS to get direct reliable altitude information. Local air pressure can be misleading in many situations and with GPS already on the watch, it would be best to dump the pressure and stick with GPS.

apple watch 6 elevation How do you see or use the new Always-On Altimeter functions on the Apple Watch series 6? I saw the keynote and a few people on YouTube, but they seem to have an app that shows current elevation levels. I am not seeing this on my new watch.
