Does Safari have a memory leak?

This is not the first time I have seen this…just look at the memory usage by Safari.

on a machine w just 8Gb that's a lot to be claimed by just one app. If I quit and restart Safari with all tabs/groups restored, it's all good. In yellow, rather than green, but functioning.

Running Ventura 13.0.1 on an M1 Air.

Looking into ways to log this on the command line so I can see how long it takes to get to this point.

Try a different browser and compare your results.

I find in Safari.app I am having to shut it down and relaunch it to keep it going...
