Error message "Unknown device error." using Switch Control since iOS 16

Hi, we are a control system manufacturer for power wheelchairs.

We interface mobile devices via Bluetooth to get wheelchair users access to their mobile devices. Our connection is MFi certified since several years.

Since iOS 16 the error message "Switch Control Unknown device error." is displayed when using Switch Control to operate the iPhone / iPad from the wheelchair.

Does anyone have any idea what this is or is this a bug that has not yet been addressed?
