Airpods Pro 2nd gen case battery drain

Hello everyone, I have recently got AirPods pro 2nd generation and I believe I am experiencing case battery drain issues to some extent. I used the AirPods without ANC and listened to music for 2 hours and realized that the case dropped from 85% to 72% to charge the AirPods from 95% to 100%. With this pace, I can never reach the advertised 30 hours of play time even without ANC. Interestingly, it seems like the case is not losing much battery when it is in idle mode, so not being used. Is this normal behavior or do you think there is smt wrong with my AirPods?

Agreed, I’ve returned 3 sets already and now on my 4th set. Used for one hour and the case is at 77%. Clearly there are inherent faults with the product or the production process and these are been sold. A fix or a product recall is needed as these are not isolated problems.

no, for example if I use the airpods only 10% (90% remaining) and put it in the case to charge, the case drops from 100 to 92%, this is a several drain because the case should charge the aipods at least 4 times, if the charge ratio is almost 1 to 1 (1:1) case:airpods, the performance of the case is one charge only, this is my actual problem, the airpods are brandnew

I realised my batteries were draining super fast 4 weeks ago at the same time I was in a holiday resort of which I had not signalled not to be alerted in case I leave them behind…

So all day long on trek I was receiving alerts…

I entered the address in FindMy & it didn’t change it so much.

I didn’t want to remove FindMy as it’s a key feature.

I made a test fully charged on a Sunday, the next Sunday everything flat at 0 without even using them.

So 300% of batteries gone…

I red on some thread that running down the batteries helped so I fully charge now and then Sunday to Sunday I had lost 11% on the case so like remaining 289% of batteries vs. loosing 300% before running them down in the same period of time.

Now that’s 9 days I am at 287%…

Was it running it down to 0 that did it or an update happened at the same time… no idea… but you can all try !!!

I have not tested in use, for the moment I just want to measure the gap of how long it takes to drain all in idle mode vs. before they went to 0.

what I noticed is the first week I only lost 11% but now in 2 days I already lost another 6 as I am now down to 85.

the the lower the case level the faster it seems to loose, I guess to some extent it’s logic…

I got tired of this issue since my case drained 40% (from 100% charging overnight) in 12 hours with no usage! But I am happy to report that it is no longer an issue for me. I fixed it by removing the AirPods from Find My profile, and I reset the AirPods too.
