my iphone stopped auto backup

Apple support helped me solve the problem. Here's what appears to be the problem/solution:

When my battery indicated that it need to be replace, the setting "Optimized Battery Charging" under "battery health & charging" setting was turned on. Because of this, my phone didn't think it was plugged in and charging during the period it wanted to backup to icloud. Once the setting was turned off my phone backed up the next day and it seems to be backing up now.

This article did not help. I talked to Apple support and they suggested a few other things. So far nothing has helped.

it seems odd that my problem started after Apple replaced my battery☹️
