traditional (old) tripod convert attachment to accommodate taking photos with iPhone

Sinking feeling such attachment is not available, but maybe an invention of some sort. We have an old tripod used previously for traditional cameras, Nikon, Pentax, etc. Screw at top of tripod in order to attach such cameras. Is there an accessory available to attach to this screw that would hold an iPhone?

I know of nothing specific to buy (doesn’t mean there isn’t one) but iirc the camera connection screw has been the same for over 100 years. It’s a 1//4” screw of this somewhat old British type called I think “Phipps” though I may be misremembering it. The deal was that that particular screw type worked just a bit better than regular screws because it backed out less, but was an incredible pain to machine, so it died. The only thing I know of where it was in common use was old British sports cars and camera mounts. So it wouldn’t be difficult if no one is selling anything to sipmply have a hole drilled into the side of a block of metal or wood, and threaded 1/4” Phipps and slap a MagSafe stick on on one side. It’s so simple I’d be a bit astounded if there wasn’t one
