UK business person wants to gift kids in need iPhone14. It’s large quantity, less expensive buying in US, then ship to UK.
Other than no service warranty, is it fine to use US iPhone 14 in UK.
Also, what are Telecoms in the UK?

All iPhone 14 Models that are sold in the US, do not have a SIM card tray and therefore cannot use physical SIM cards. These iPhones use eSIM only. These iPhones can only be used with those carriers that have ability to provide service while using an eSIM. NOTE: iPhone 14 models sold outside of the US have the ability to use a physical SIM card and/or an eSIM.

Seems best to buy these in bulk from UK if that’s where they’ll be used.
Btw, why Sim vs eSim? Maybe a Sim iPhone is harder to hack or use. 🤷🏻♀️

I presume it’s best my friend buy his bulk IPhone 14 for charity in UK.
I also assume if these iPhones were bought in the US, the warranty or service could not be extended to UK. Only in country bought in.

If an iPhone 14 is bought in the US, once in UK does it have to be unlocked from the US telecom carrier, like AT T?

If you purchase the iPhone directly from Apple and choose the "Choose my own carrier" option then the iPhone comes unlocked and can be used with any carrier. Do not associate any carrier during the purchase of the iPhone.

Your assumption is correct. The warranty will be valid only in the region that the iPhone was purchased in.
