Apple Watch with pacemaker/defibrillator

Does anyone who has a pacemaker/defibrillator wear an Apple Watch? Asking because we are considering getting my mom an Apple Watch but she has a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted in her chest and we want to make sure it’s ok to do so.

As it would also need an iPhone to go with it which will have even more possible emissions than the watch there are two places to go:

  • First and most importantly go to the manufacturer of the device or the surgeon who implanted it to see if the Watch plus iPhone will affect the device.
  • Secondly reach out to Apple Support directly. You should be able to reach them here
