My iPhone 7 Safari 15.7 upgrade

My iPhone 7 which I had since it was brand new from the Apple store will not take this recent upgrade it is downloaded but at Walmart install it keeps saying I don't have internet connection when it's definitely connected I've tried with VPN on and off? This has been going on for over a month? Does anyone have any suggestions because it keeps saying I'm not connected to the internet and fails to activate or install properly when it's already installed or downloaded it gets to the last minute and then it'll say not connected to internet??? Obviously if I could afford it I'll be buying a newer iPhone I know this was the last upgrade possible for this device being that I started with an iPhone 3 to my introduction to the world wide Web. And now even have a GitHub profile and started my Developer career with web 3 smart contracts, NFT's I am big on privacy and respect everyone else's privacy any constructive suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hello KingJames49.

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. With an update that cannot be installed due to an error message, such as the one you're experiencing, we suggest to remove and redownload it. This is a step that can help complete the installation. Here's how:

Remove and download the update again
If you still can't install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, try downloading the update again:
1. Go to Settings > General > [Device name] Storage.
2. Find the update in the list of apps.
3. Tap the update, then tap Delete Update.
4. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the latest update.

If you don't see the update in the list of apps or if the issue happens again, you need to update your device with your computer:

Update your device using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later
Update your device using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or a Windows PC

Learn how to use recovery mode if your computer doesn't recognize your device or your screen is stuck on the Apple logo for several minutes without a progress bar.

Following these steps can help and is outlined in this article: If your iPhone or iPad won't update

Kind regards.
